As a Sales Officer, you will be responsible for actively selling the Company’s financing services by participating in sales activities, searching for clients as well as advising our clients in regard to the financing process.

Our customers are entrepreneurs. As a company, we are committed to aiding them in achieving their financial goals. It is imperative that the Sales Officers be engaged with the community they serve and committed equally to our customer’s and company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Represent Watu and effectively implement the Company’s Sales plan within the designated area.
  • Convert new clients based on the assigned targets month on month.

Brand awareness

  • Protect and promote brand visibility to markets of interests and communities at large.

Marketing and Outreach

  • Execute the Company’s product marketing and information campaigns.
  • Approach potential clients at designated locations, providing detailed product presentations, answering inquiries, and capturing essential customer information (name, phone number, location, interest in financing products).
  • Organize bodaboda and LGA meetings in the designated areas of operations

Leads Generation

  • Generate active leads and conduct follow-ups to convert them into business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of potential clients approached and those expressing interest in the Company’s products.

Reporting and Feedback

  • Provide daily reports/feedback on marketing activities and potential clients approached.
  • Submit daily reports detailing potential clients, their level of interest and new sales.

Customer Service Support

  • Address client queries in the field and provide advice on loan repayments, recovery, and insurance.
  • Offer the rebuttal options to clients which include but are not limited to reminding clients of the need to service their assets on time.
  • Offer high-quality customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Events Participation

  • Participate in marketing activities and activations organized by the company or partnered dealerships within the assigned region.
  • Engage in various marketing campaigns and road shows to promote the Company’s products.

Clients Follow-Up

  • Conduct follow-up calls to potential clients, answering any questions and proactively encouraging them to utilize the Company’s services.
  • Marketing Intelligence and Analysis
  • Conduct market surveys and data collection to gather insights on market trends and understand the competition landscape.

Additional Duties

  • Perform any other assignments as directed by management or supervisors, contributing to the overall success of the company.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

KPI Description

Sales This KPI measures the number of newly converted clients
Leads generation This KPI measure the number of new active leads from different lead funnels
Stage Visitation This KPI measures the number of stages covered by the sales officer
Quality Assurance (QA) This measures the level of customer satisfaction which includes the Net promoter score, Education and Information/Assistance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including written communication
  • Strong sales and marketing skills
  • Integrity, enthusiasm and passion for continuous learning and development
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously in an organization with diverse business operations
  • High attention to detail and internal control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, sales or Business Administration in a relevant field
  • 1+ years of working experience
